Client Spotlight: Stolley & Orlebeke

I was contacted by Stolley & Orlebeke and set up an initial consultation meeting in which I met with Ted Stolley at their office in Elmhurst, Illinois. He told me about their business and I explained how a custom well designed website could bring potential customers in contact with them. He gave me a variety of their brochures and catalogs of items that they serviced and would like to feature on the website.

From these materials and their input I put together the two design comps below. This gives the client an opportunity to choose the design elements and the layout that they prefer.

Design 1

This design I choose bold bright colors and a left hand vertical navigation system.

Design 2

This design has deep blue hues for and strong commercial look and a horizontal top navigation system.

Final Design

For the final design they choose to incorporate the navigation of design 1 with the color scheme of design 2.

After the design is finalized the rest of the pages of content are put together and printed out for the client to review.

Here you can see the many notes and changes that are written directly on the pages. this allows for easy communication between us and the client.

When they were reviewing the printouts they realized that some additional pages of content were needed. Our solution was to incorporate a java script menu that expands the pumps link into the two different types of pumps that they service.

A final set of revisions are done and given to the client for the last corrections before the site is posted live.

Once these are reviewed and the final changes are made the site is posted live. We promote the site on our network of sites and submit it to the major search engines. Stolley & Orlebeke also choose to do a search engine keyword campaign to further promote their site under various terms to increase traffic and make the site easy to find for customers.
